the first burn

The first time you light your candle allow the top layer of wax to melt completely, this will create a clean and even burn helping your candles to last longer and burn thoroughly.

shelf life

Favorite candles have a shelf life of about 1 year from opening. Over time the scent particles will diffuse into the air, to prolong the life of your candles, keep them covered (I.e in the box) and in a cool dark place when they are not in use.

trim the wick

You can use standard scissors, a wick trimmer or even nail clippers to trim the wick to around 0.5cm to 1cm. Trimming the wick will ensure a clean even and steady burn and prevent the flame from becoming to large.

burn time

The first time you burn your candle, make sure the complete top layer of wax has melted. This should take approximately one hour. As a general rule you should not burn candles for more than 4 hours at a time

more candles

All our candles are designed and tested to fill your space with scent, the more candles you burn the stronger the scent will be. You can also burn different candles at the same time to create your own custom scent. When burning more than one candle make sure they are about 8-10 cm away from each other to avoid air drafts and overheating.

reuse, repurpose, recycle

You can reuse your jar as anything you can dream up... a pen holder, small planter, makeup brush jar. Soy wax is natural and easy to clean from the jar with some soap and water. As the candle jar is glass you can defiantly recycle it. Also all outer packaging is recyclable. Please reuse, repurpose and recycle.
